Women and their families are the primary audience for this site. The purpose is to empower women through the informational and educational material published on the site.
The site is divided into two main areas; namely:
- Domestic Abuse provides information about the cycle of abuse.
- News provides a monthly online magazine of news and events.
Additionally, there are four reference topics - About Us, Contact Us, FAQs, and Forms.
Pages on the site conform to a standard format.
The banner menu provides links to the Domestic Abuse area and the reference topics from each page of the site. Click on the WRC logo to return to the homepage.
Below the banner, except on the home page, is a navigation section, called breadcrumbs, showing the current position within the hierarchy of the site and providing links back to other pages in the same area. For example:
Homepage > About Us > Services > Resource Library
At the foot of each page is information on the date the page was published or last modified, the primary contact details for the WRC, and other useful links, e.g. terms and conditions, access keys, feedback, etc.
The right column, except on the homepage, shows a local menu specific to the section of the site currently being visited.
