Crisis Intervention & Advocacy Services
Offer immediate, short-term help to individuals who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical, and behavioral distress or problems. A crisis can refer to any situation in which the individual perceives a sudden loss of his or her ability to use effective problem-solving and coping skills. The individual may also receive referrals to appropriate services to facilitate his or her situation.

Legal Befrienders Service
Free legal advice from attorneys from various law firms volunteer a variety of issues such as, but not limited to, Domestic Violence, Divorce, Maintenance, Immigration and Matrimonial Property.
· Walk-in Clinic: Tuesdays 5.00-6:30 p.m. (No appointment necessary)
· Phoneline: Fridays 2:00-5:00 p.m. (945-8869)
Young Parent Services
To assist young parents to access information and resources that support the development of healthy parent-child relationships and provide practical tools for raising children.
- Monday-Thursday 8:30am – 1:00pm
The Family Resource Centre (FRC) produces a monthly newsletter containing information and education on topics relevant to individuals and families. The newsletter is available on our website and it can be received by email or regular mail.
The FRC facilitates various workshops and information sessions that are directed towards the enhancement of the family. The following are regular programmes or projects coordinated by the FRC:
FAMILY SKILLS PROGRAMME (FSP)
Aids in building the skills necessary for a healthy family dynamic. It is a closed group of 5-8 families. Clients are referred by relevant partner agencies and self. Monthly skill building sessions are also available.
FAMILY SKILLS SESSION (FSS)
Interactive presentations for families that focus on a certain skill. These are supplemental to graduates of Family Skills Training programme and open to the public.
HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WORKSHOP SERIES
Series of workshops dealing with various aspects of building healthy, stable relationships.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION TRAINING PROGRAMME (DVITP)
A sensitivity training programme targeted to police officers, social workers and other front line professionals that interact with victims of domestic violence.
Meetings that address issues and challenges specific to fathers.
7 STEPS DARKNESS TO LIGHT –CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION
A training designed to educate adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
THE CLOTHESLINE PROJECT
This project allows survivors of violence or supporters to design T-shirts as a testaments to their experience.
A school-based programme targeted to empower youth to stop violence and humiliation.
Monthly PSAs that address topics relevant to the community
LOVE SHOULDN'T HURT
A series aimed at empowering individuals with information on Domestic Violence, what keeps individuals in abusive relationships, and what resources are avalible.

Sessions avalible on various topics for companies and organisations.
